Leisure is a way of life in Brasil, it’s the culture. The obvious is relaxing at one of the many beach bars, watching the turquoise blue sea lapping the shores, but there is so much more on offer.

One of the main leisure activities is taking a buggy ride along the coast by way of beaches and palm tree lined country lanes, discovering hidden coves to stop for a cool off in the crystal waters. Taking this a step further you can take a 4x4 off road trip, through tropical forests, along mountain passes and finding hidden oasis’s amongst sand dune landscapes.

Going to the modern shopping malls can be a day in itself. Bowling alley’s, multi screen cinemas, arcade zones and children’s play areas can keep you busy without mentioning the shops themselves. Also within the shopping malls are food halls, being serviced by all styles of restaurants and fast food establishments, giving a choice for everyone.

You can scuba dive off ship wrecked reefs, and for the less experienced diver, half day trips out to the shallow reefs where you can wade and snorkel with brightly coloured tropical fish.

Another natural wonder is watching a new era of turtles making their way from the nest, down to the ocean on one of the protected breeding grounds within the cities.

João Pessoa is the second greenest city in the world, and within its limits is a 7km squared city preserved forest. Within this you can take a miniature train ride, stopping to meet the lion and other animals at the zoo.

North east Brasil has countless other natural attractions including Picaozinho (coral reef swimming pools), Jacare where the sunsets over horizon to the tranquil sounds of Bolero, Tambaba nudist beach, Areia Vermelha the tide island, Boca rock, dinosaur valley, Inga rock with the mysterious engravings, coves where wild dolphins visit plus much, much more awaiting you.
